Biology

The biology department at ILS is interested in achieving a comprehensive understanding of biological signaling mechanisms through innovative experimental approaches and novel hypotheses. The program aspires to address unanswered and emerging questions involving biological signaling mechanisms. Our ongoing efforts are directed towards creating the tools and expertise to explore the regulation of such mechanisms in metabolic disorders, cancer biology and infectious diseases. Efforts are also on to discover new chemical entities (NCEs) in the area of metabolic disorders.
